Bloom | Sculptural Ceramic Vessel with Handmade Flowers

This vessel brings dimensional, hand-formed flowers to a rounded pedestal form. Each blossom was shaped by hand and layered with multiple glazes, and they cluster together along the rim.

The body moves from soft blues into warm, earthy tones, with a golden glaze running down the pedestal base. The glazes shift in the firing, so no two areas look quite alike.

It’s a departure from my usual work, and the first in what I hope will become a new direction. Not to be repeated exactly this way.
